Gary Bischoff, Chair of the Charter Transition Team announces an Informational Meeting for the Ulster County Legislature on Thursday, February 7, 2008 at 6:00 PM in preparation for the transition to a Charter form of government.

Gary Bischoff explains, "The Charter Transition Team has been working to make sure that we have a smooth transition to a County Executive form of government on January 1, 2009.  One of the important aspects of the changeover is the Administrative Code, which contains the details behind the Charter.  Legislators will be voting on the Administrative Code later this year.  We are hosting this informational session to familiarize Legislators and interested members of the public about this very comprehensive document.  There will be an opportunity for Legislators and the public to ask questions."
 
Members of the Charter Transition Team, Assistant County Attorney Bea Havranek and Deputy Administrator Art Smith will be available to answer questions.
