Bischoff announces availability of web site
Ulster County Legislator Gary Bischoff, announces the availability of a web site to keep Ulster County residents, and particularly District 4 constituents informed about Ulster County Legislature business. The web site will enable citizens to keep track of issues in the Ulster County Legislature, with an emphasis on issues that affect Saugerties, Ulster and the Town of Kingston. The web site can be found at http://www.gary4ulster.com.

According to Bischoff, “It is important to reach out to citizens in every way possible so that people understand how their government works, in this case the Ulster County Legislature. There are close to 22,000 people in district 4. Local media (newspapers and radio) have many issues to cover and often cannot cover county issues. Many times there will be information on the web site before it becomes news. The web site is a good way of allowing citizens to learn what the current issues are and to communicate with their representative. I want to hear about the issues that concern constituents in Saugerties, Ulster and the Town of Kingston. I invite comments and questions from all interested citizens.”

For interested voters without computer access, Gary Bischoff can be contacted at (845)246-6858 evenings.

The web site is organized so that interested citizens can easily stay up to date on: The Issues, Community Events, Committee Reports, and Press Coverage. There is also a useful Links page and, of course, a way to contact Bischoff.

The website will change frequently in response to issues and developments that come up in the Legislature.

Bischoff said, “I am fortunate to be working with an excellent web master, Ed Doyle. Ed does a professional job on this and several other web sites, particularly community related sites. You can also contact Ed Doyle by going to the web site .”
