Charter Transition Team
This group will implement the changes necessary for Ulster County government to transition to a County Executive form of government. The committee will examine our existing government structure and determine what changes need to be made before the County Executive and Comptroller take office on January 1, 2009. Some of the work that needs to be done includes formulating an Administrative Code, which fills in all the details of how our government works.

The committee has determined the following tasks must be done:

* Establish a time line and budget for committee.
* Reach out to county department heads, oversight boards and legislators for input and concerns.
* Invite input from other counties that changed to executive form of government.
* Check with State Legislators as to availability of resources for transition.
* Define Standard Operating Procedure.
* Generate Organization Chart.
* Address space issues (office space).
* Create administrative code.

Legislator Bischoff will chair Transition Team.
The Chairman of the Ulster County Legislature, David B. Donaldson announced the formation of a seven member Transition Team to prepare a plan to transition the County toward operation under the new charter.
